OUR STORY

MF Lobster & Ceviche

MF Lobster & Seafood was born from Chef Kinjo’s love for New England’s coastal cuisine and his desire to bring those flavors to Houston. After countless trips to the Northeast, Kinjo envisioned a place where the freshest Maine lobster and the finest seafood could be enjoyed in a unique, rotunda-shaped setting. Partnering with Chef Alvarez, who shares his dedication to culinary excellence, they set out to create a dining experience that would captivate the senses and celebrate the bounty of the ocean. At the helm of our kitchen are two culinary maestros: Chris Kinjo, a sushi master renowned for his innovative techniques, and Miguel Alvarez, his longtime chef partner. Their collaboration blends Japanese seafood techniques, coastal Mexican flavors, and New England staples, resulting in a menu that is both daring and delightful.

Our restaurant is housed in a stunning circular building, designed by the renowned Michael Hsu Office of Architecture. Located in Houston’s vibrant Autry Park, it features floor-to-ceiling glass windows, Western Red Cedar, and a steel structure, making it Houston’s only completely round restaurant. The interior, crafted by MC2 Architects, is both elegant and inviting, with round, blue porcelain tiles, black walnut booths, and a striking 15-foot steel sculpture inspired by Autry Park’s majestic oak trees. Join us at MF Lobster & Seafood, where the beauty of our surroundings enhances the flavors of our fresh, high-quality seafood, creating an unforgettable dining experience.
